Whether it’s a gift to celebrate a milestone birthday, a wedding or a housewarming—this piece is an instant heirloom.

The origin of the name Wolff

Wolff is the primary Continental European (German, Dutch, Scandinavian, and Ashkenazi) spelling variant of the ancient warrior surname Wolf. Establishing influential seats across Prussia, Silesia, the Low Countries, and the Baltic, families bearing the Wolff spelling served as baronial magistrates, diplomats, and pioneering scientists.

The symbolism of the Wolff coat of arms

Sharing the exact ancestral armorial bearings of the noble Wolf and Wolfe lineages, the Wolff coat of arms features a radiant golden shield charged with a central black wolf rampant. In classical European heraldry, the gold field symbolises generosity, elevation of mind, and royal favor, while the central black wolf rampant denotes untamed bravery, stealth, vigilant leadership, and territorial defense across generations. Positioned above the shield, the crest displays a plume of black and gold feathers issuing from a golden crown, symbolising noble elevation and light. The formal recognition of this coat of arms was documented in European patrician armorial registers and catalogued in J.B. Rietstap’s Armorial Général.

Lady Elisabeth Wolff (17th Century): Recorded gentlewoman and benefactor in Rhineland rolls.
